Join us at Ferrante's on October 6th or October 13th for our 4th annual

Trolley Tour & Cavatelli Dinner

Your Afternoon Begins With An Educational Tour To A Select Number Of Ashtabula County's Historic Covered Bridges.  After The Tour Guests Will Finish Their Sunday Afternoon With A Cavatelli Dinner Prepared By Our Famous Chef Nina.

Recipe of the Month

Ferrante’s Grand River Valley Riesling Bread Pudding

Ingredients:

2 bags Italian rolls or hard bread torn into small pieces                              

12 large eggs                                                                                                        

2 quarts half & half                                                                                              

1 bottle Ferrante’s Grand River Valley Riesling                                              

2/3 cup granulated sugar                                                                                   

2/3 cup brown sugar                                                                                           

2 can (15 ounces) pumpkin puree

9 tablespoons melted butter

2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

3 teaspoon vanilla

 

Directions:

Butter an 11x7 inch baking dish.  Heat oven to 350˚.

In a large bowl, beat eggs, half and half, and Riesling until blended.  Put the torn bread into baking dish and pour mixture over bread pieces.

In another bowl, combine, sugars, pumpkin, melted butter, spices, and vanilla.  Blend well.  Pour pumpkin mixture over soaked bread and stir to blend. 

Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish. 

Bake 50 to 55 minutes, or until set.

Served with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, and top with toasted candied pecans.

Pairs perfectly with a glass of Ferrante’s Riesling wine!

Mini Meatball Paninni- Josephine Ferrante’s Famous Mammoth Meatball Stuffed In Our Mini Italian Roll.  Topped With Mozzarella Cheese & Oven-Baked.

Stuffed Eggplant- Lightly Breaded Eggplant Stuffed With Three Cheeses.

Manicotti alla Marinara- Fresh Pasta Filled With A Trio Of Cheeses Then Topped With Our House Marinara Sauce & Baked To Perfection.  Garnished With Romano Cheese.
