Ferrante Winery Discovers GOLD in Ohio
A new gold rush has moved from its origins in California to the Grand River Valley, near the shores of Lake Erie in Northeast Ohio. You no longer need to go to Napa Valley to enjoy good food and wine - it's right here in Ohio!
Ferrante's 2008 Gewürztraminer Signature Series was named Sweepstakes Winner - Best Varietal - and took DOUBLE GOLD at the Eastern International Wine Competition. It also captured the "Overall Best of Show" award in the 2010 Ohio Wine Competition. In order to receive the Concordance Gold medal, all judges must individually determine the wine as gold. Ferrante's white wine was one of 236 entries to the competition from around the state.
The 2008 Pinot Grigio Signature Series took an overall Gold Medal at this competition. The Ferrante Winery 2008 Pinot Grigio Signature Series also captured a Gold Medal at the American Fine Wine Competition and a third Gold Medal at the Taster's Guild Wine Competition.
The Grand River Valley viticultural terroir is showcased with winemaker Nick Ferrante's winemaking finesse in the exclusive Ferrante Signature Series wines produced from premium estate-grown grapes. All wines are available for tasting at the winery located at 5585 Route 307, Geneva OH.
The restaurant will be unveiling a new, lighter and exciting menu to complement the award-winning wines in the next few weeks. The outdoor patio is open to enjoy the ambiance of the vineyards. For more information call 440.466.8466 or visit www.FerranteWinery.com
